Project 1 for Industrial Design 211: Vessel
INDN 211, Create a vessel from a turned form, to hold one of five precious artefacts. My artefact; a piece of tibetian scroll.
Other requiements of the brief; one part turned manually, one part on the cnc lathe. There must be at least one cut in the body to reveal the form of the turned shape ie. milled cut.
Crane Lamp
My entry for Design Folio Incubator Award. Crane Lamp. This lamp is made to extend for reading light over a chair or retract for ambient light. Found objects make up the main mechanical details, which enhance a sense of charm and nostalgia. To see this entry alongside the other entries and to vote click here. Update from the exhibition, my Crane lamp received a 'Highly Commended'. Publication is in the latest issue of Design Folio magazine.
